Terms of Service

By creating an account or booking a session with Console By The Hour you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book.

The service

Console By The Hour rents timed, private gaming sessions streamed to your device over the internet. You are renting play time — not the hardware, any game licence, or any game account.

What you need

• A game controller — required. A compatible controller connected to your device is mandatory; most modern console or PC gamepads work. Keyboard and mouse are not supported.
• Our streaming apps (Moonlight and Tailscale) installed on your device — free, links provided after booking.
• A stable internet connection — 15 Mbps download or faster recommended, wired over Wi-Fi where possible.
• Any device that runs Moonlight — PC, Mac, Steam Deck, or a recent phone/tablet.

Not having a controller ready, or connecting over an inadequate connection, is treated as a setup issue on your side — see our Refund Policy. We recommend testing with our free demo first.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older, or have parental consent, to make a booking. By signing in with Google you confirm you meet this requirement.

Bookings

• Bookings are open now, on a rolling 14-day window from today.
• A maximum of 6 hours per day may be booked by a single account.
• A single booking may span up to 6 consecutive hours.
• Reserving a slot on the website holds it temporarily — it's confirmed only once payment is completed via Discord and verified by our team. Held but unpaid slots are released automatically after approximately 15 minutes.
• The exact price depends on the game and current demand, confirmed with you in Discord before payment, and charged in INR. All prices include applicable taxes.
• Sessions start and end at the exact times you booked. Arriving late does not extend your end time.

Fair use

• Do not attempt to access our accounts, operating system, files, or desktop.
• Do not change system settings, install software, or modify any account credentials during your session.
• Your booking is personal and non-transferable — do not share your session link.
• No illegal activity during sessions. Sessions may be monitored for abuse.
• Attempting to circumvent booking limits or exploit pricing errors will result in cancellation without refund.
• Repeated or serious violations of these rules — including attempting to bypass session restrictions, access the host system, or exploit the service — may result in your account being suspended or permanently banned, in addition to forfeiting any refund for the affected session.

See our Refund & Reschedule Policy for full details. In short: one free reschedule per booking, requested at least 2 hours before your session starts.

Service disruptions

We make reasonable efforts to keep sessions available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. If we are unable to deliver your booked session due to a problem on our end, you will receive a full refund as described in our Refund Policy.

Intellectual property

Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or console manufacturer. All game titles and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Console By The Hour's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected session. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including loss of enjoyment, data, or income.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
